That we eat in a way that is bad for our bodies and the world around us seems like a bizarre thing to do but it’s understandable. As hunter-gatherers, humans needed to seek out the fattest, sweetest and saltiest foods to survive. Today we eat overly fatty, sweet, salty manufactured food; so one of the biggest challenges for us is to reconfigure what we consider good food to be? Imagine a new food pyramid where small animals such as insects and sardines would replace factory raised beef and chicken. It’s not outlandish as it may seem; as the population of the world increases, we will need to find new ways of eating that are planet friendly.
