Call me bun

My compassionate, sustainable sushi recipes and worthless pearls of life wisdom for the 21st Century and beyond.

The video is called “We all want to sleep with Pablo.”

If we looked into most of the food we ate, we would all be frightened.  But, there’s a lot of good changes happening too from the grass roots to big corporations.  But we are going to have to make some fundamental changes to our value system.  We cannot be alright with inequity in the world.  We cannot accept the model of constant growth that depends massive amounts of resources that is destroying our planet and creating massive social economic riffs in the world.  We are a society that wants and wants.  We need to stop listening to advertisers who tell us to fill this emptiness that we feel with more and more stuff.  Studies show that wealth and happiness have no correlation.  Our value shift will change how we produce, consume and feel.  Over value shift can alleviate poverty in the world.  Over consumption can easily be mistaken for happiness though it is a sure path to self destruction.  Today, four out of six leading causes of death in America is diet related.  We are dying from eating too much while over a billion people in the world are starving.

Here’s a funny video.  Actually, I’m probably the only one that finds it funny but here it is.  On the way back from our road trip to Seattle to speak at the American Fisheries Society my team and I shared a hotel room.  All of us wanted to sleep with Pablo, or rather, nobody wanted to sleep with Will (our filmmaker) because of his hygiene.  Of course I ended up having the pleasure of sleeping beside him.  After a few beers, Will smelled like a rose garden.
