A menhaden bone that had been lodged in my throat for the last few days. Menhaden is one of the tastiest and healthiest fish in the ocean but is rarely eaten by people because of its fine, sharp pin bones. In the mirror, I could see the bone glistening like mother of pearl in the back of my throat and Vasi was able to take it out with tweezers on her first try. (Taken with Instagram)
